Xinghe Pan is a PhD candidate in Demography at the University of California, Berkeley. He is interested in the nexus between population dynamics and the environment. He earned his B.A. in Sociology from Institut d’études politiques de Paris and Columbia University, and his MPhil in Sociology and Demography from the University of Oxford. Xinghe’s ongoing research explores patterns of internal migration in Indonesia and their connection to environmental factors such as temperature and precipitation.
