Christina Misunas

Demography PhD

Christina Misunas is a PhD candidate in Demography and a graduate student researcher with the Sexual Health and Reproductive Equity (SHARE) Program and the CenSoc Project. She previously worked with Population Council and UNICEF’s Data Analysis Unit on research around girls’ education, child marriage, and adolescent childbearing. Prior to working in research, Christina spent several years in Washington, DC, working on global advocacy and programming for sexual and reproductive health with Marie Stopes International and the Open Society Foundations. Misunas holds an MSc in Demography and Public Health from the London School of Hygiene and Tropical Medicine and a BA in Political Science from American University. She has worked in Europe, sub-Saharan Africa, and South Asia.
